The fact this made ESPN tells you how big a deal it is, and it's funny how it takes a gaffe like this to get the CFL some press outside of Canada. One reason why I prefer the CFL over the NFL is they are much more lenient about celebrations, and the players can actually go out and have fun, but this celebration was a bit over the top. At least when you watch the Blue Bombers or Stampeders you know you're gonna get an entertaining TD celebration, and I am sure everyone watching gets a laugh from it.

But this was downright insulting to many people, and in all honesty, I expect no less than insulting from Arland Bruce. I still remember in Winnipeg when he got jumped outside a downtown bar by a bunch of guys he was talking smack to inside, trying to be the cool guy, pro football player. That is just the kind of person he is, very self-centred, and seems to like to be a magnet for controversy. Kudos to the CFL for taking a stand on this one, and showing the players there is a line that shouldn't be crossed, because I don't want to see one guy ruin it for the rest of the league, and then we're looking at rules like the NFL has, and the game loses a lot of it's fun factor for the players and fans.
